Last month, we were delighted to host a webinar introducing our clients to ExpenseIn – a digital expense management solution from AccountsIQ. If you missed it, here’s a brief summary of what we covered.
Enclude’s Head of Finance, Martina Ryan-Doyle, was joined by Declan Fenlon from the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association (IMNDA) and Janine Snodgrass from ExpenseIn to discuss the benefits of expense management solutions in general, and the current offering from ExpenseIn.
Martina spoke about the time and resource pressures expense processing can put on a non-profit, and the difference a digital solution can make to both the finance team and the individual submitting a claim – saving time and allowing for quicker reimbursement, resulting in happier staff and volunteers.
Declan discussed how IMNDA’s 2-person finance team previously relied on Excel to process over 100 expense claims a month. The process was manual and slow. ExpenseIn addressed the challenges the team were experiencing and integrated into their existing AccountsIQ solution. They very quickly saw benefits including quicker and easier submission of claims using the mobile App, straightforward duplicate detection and live visibility of the value of claims and where they were in the process.
Janine then provided a brief introduction to ExpenseIn and its functionality including –

- The use of OCT (optical character recognition) and AI to make it easier and quicker to register claims.
- Automatic policy checks and reinforcement.
- Embedded Google Maps allowing for quick and easy calculation of mileage and associated VAT whether in the UK or Ireland.
- Pre-loaded spend cards.
- Tailored solutions for reimbursement of volunteers, research participants and other non-employees.
- Integration within your existing accounts package – e.g. AccountsIQ, QuickBooks and Xero.
